Journaling ideas

My stick people are almost unrecognizable, my journaling needs to get better but I'm great at highlighting!

This article looks like it has some pointers.

...and we begin

As we start walking along with women in the Gospels, have you had a chance to read the Prologue?  The author begins by bringing us into a painful time of her life.  I’ve had those times I’m sure you have too. I also remember thinking in those times that irregardless of how I was feeling, God was still God and he was still good.  Somehow for a while it’s so easy to lose sight of that, isn’t it?  Yet, down deep in our soul, we know that He’s still there and our faith in Him will grow - if we allow Him to work.

Woundedness is a hard place to be.  I remember finally having enough courage to ask God, “Where were you when ______________ ?” (What’s in your blank?)  Through his quiet peaceful presence, God let me know that he was right there with me.  When I hurt, he hurt and being in that hurt with him is when healing comes.

On page xviii, the author says, “intimacy with Jesus calls out the very best of who we can be as women.”  My sisters, as we read this book together, may we ask the Holy Spirit to help us see who He says we are.

Details about our study

Welcome to our Be Still Book Study! We’re excited to be able to use this opportunity to form new friendships in our parishes, our geographical locations and our diocese. We know you’ll love Who Does He Say You Are and we know that God has special blessings in store for each of us.

There are no rules for the study. If you read ahead, fine. If you want to start a group in your parish/cluster, that’s great! If you do the study by yourself, that’s OK, too.

The study will begin the weekend of May 27, Memorial Day weekend. That week we’ll begin with two chapters. After that, plan for a chapter a week.

Week of May 27 Chapters 1 & 2

Some thoughts:
WRITE in your book! That will give you a reminder of questions to ask Colleen when she comes.
TAKE it to church.  Spend time with the Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament while you read.
CALL or EMAIL If you have a local group and want Julie, Deb, Michele or Linsey to join your group for a discussion, we'd be delighted!
